During last week conversation about the two articles, Clear Sailing and language Survival, we talked about those two interesting and current problems.
Clear Sailing was interesting because economy wise it is a great thing for the whole world and fuel wise it is great as it will reduce traveling time for shipments by a lot. But what is necessary to get there is a disaster for the whole world, the complete melting of that part of the world would be dangerous for all of us, as we have no idea what could happen. One sad thing that may happen is countries arguing each other for who owns what part of the Arctic Ocean, should it be neutral or should "X" own that portion.
Language Survival is touching for us Quebeccers as our language was in danger years ago, like the Inuits right now. What they have chosen to do to defend it is not necessary the good way but in the long run they will succeed in defending it, they have to as their culture is already greatly harmed by our ancestors invasion of their homelands.
