Analyzing Websites

Yichi Zhang Analyzing Websites

First of all, we don’t have any information on the author of the site, Lyle Zapato. There is no picture of the author, and the only link that we can use, related to the author, is his e-mail address. When you enter in the site, it’s obvious that it is not real information. How can a person write that Belgium doesn’t exist, when you can see it on every map! To prove that a country doesn’t exist, you have to write more than two pages, and you need more facts to support what you say. The author uses quotations in the title of the site, but there are no references related to them, which would have been good information to know. The content is based on the author’s point of vue, so it isn’t serious. Instead of diffusing information, at the end of the site, he proposes us to buy articles that say: Belgium doesn’t exist. Even he links are not officials, they actually lead to other sites that doesn’t have anything to do with the main site. The site is being sponsored by some random ads and banners. The pictures that the author uses are absurd and they are not professional. For such a controversal subject, he only added three questions in the “frequently questions” part, and they are not really serious.
