Digital Natives or Digital Immigrants ?

For the past decades, technology has evolved at an unpredictable level in many aspects of our society. It had a major impact on the knowledge of almost every children, teenagers and adults. However, all the technological innovations are responsible for a specific categorization of the human race: the digital natives, those who have facilities with any technology, contrarily to the digital immigrants, who cannot find a way to understand the complexity of the numerous systems and applications.
With the survey completed at the first English course, we decide to compare the results between the ENA students` and our college.

To begin, the first question asked to the students is obviously reveling on the technological interest of the subjects, because it makes a precise proportion separating the digital native from the immigrants. For the two institutions, the proportions are similar, the ENA has 95.7 % of their students who responded that they accept or love technology, although the College has 92.3 % of their students with the same response.
In other words, almost every survey participants accepts or love technology, with a 5 % difference in favor of the ENA.
However, a major difference was reveling at the section question of the survey; the question was on the use of the computer from the subjects. The top three popular questions have almost equal proportions, it`s only the last answer of the questions that gives us a good idea where there is more use of technology. It appears 30 % of our students use computers to create website, blogs, etc. contrarily to a tinny 2 % at the ENA. We can say amongst the students of both institutions, there is approximately 15 % of the students that are really digital natives, but the positive conclusion is that about
80 % of the rest of the students have some abilities with the technology they use.
